SAKE OF THE MONTH

SAKE OF JUNE

SENKIN SHUZO

In 1806, the Senkin brewery was established. Their brand is based off the Japanese crane and their name is derived from the words “wizard” and “bird”. The water used in brewing is from the same source that is used to grow rice. They call it a “domaine” like the French term for wine producer who own their own vineyard. A very stylish sake that pairs well with Japanese and French cuisine.

Modern Muku
Junmai Daiginjo

Senkin’s Modern Muku is the brewery’s flagship and
comes highly recommended as a daily sake; as comfortable to wear as a clean white shirt. “Muku” refers to purity and innocence; no excessive decorations. In the modern series, malic acid is the main component responsible for the uniquely tight, bright and fruity umami-richness.
