FEBRUARY 2024 — SAKE OF THE MONTH

BORN / MUGEN / IICHIKO

BORN DREAMS COME TRUE JUNMAI DAIGINJO

Aged for a full five years at -5 degrees Celsius – the ultimate Junmai Daiginjo sake. It’s intense aroma and flavorful personality are kept partially subdued with a sinfully silky mouthfeel. The finish is clean cut, despite the richness. The handmade, pale golden bottle is made to look like a trophy to honor the victory of life aka “Dreams come true”!

MUGEN SHIRANAMI IMO SHOCHU

The infinite possibilities of authentic shochu. In order to bring out maximum sweetness of sweet potatoes, they undergo“tsuchimuro toka imo’’, a process in which the sweet potatoes are slowly aged in the soil to increase the sugar levels, and then a unique distillation technique is used. Due to the course filtration method, more umami filled ingredients are left than in typical shochu, resulting in a slightly cloudy liquor with a deep and rich flavor. Recommended to serve as oyuwari (with hot water).

IICHIKO SEIRIN MUGI SHOCHU

Taking their meticulously made unblended iichiko Shochu, and then filtering it with bamboo charcoal produces Seirin’s unique refreshing aroma. Enjoy it ice-cold straight up, on the rocks or with a bit of water.

#4185 SEIRIN IICHIKO SHOCHU, MUGI 12/750ml(40P)
