Recipe of October

Chestnut Pound Cake

Ingredients


Unsalted butter, room temp 6 VIEW
Sugar ¼ c sugar VIEW
Pure maple syrup ½ c
Chestnut (marron) paste ½ c VIEW
Eggs 4
All purpose flour 1 ¾ c VIEW
Baking powder 1 tsp
Salt 1 tsp VIEW
Kuri no kanroni, chopped ½ c VIEW

1. Preheat oven 325F.

2. Grease or line loaf pan.

3. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

4. Cream butter and sugar in electric mixer. Add eggs, one at a time.

5. Add maple syrup and chestnut paste until combined.

6. Add flour mixture in until just combined. Do not overmix.

7. Fold in chopped chestnuts.

8. Pour into prepared loaf pan.

9. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until golden brown and toothpick comes out clean.
