Tantan Ramen Soup Base Tantanmen, or Tan Tan ramen is a Chinese/Taiwanese inspired Japanese dish with a spicy, creamy noodle broth that is made from soy bean paste, sesame paste, chili oil and other spices. This recently upgraded Somi Tantan soup base has a deep flavor and is not very spicy. Chefs can add spiciness by adding extra chili oil or szechuan pepper corn flakes to make it more authentic.
