This fried tofu ball is called “Ganmodoki” or “Ganmo.” “Kyo-Ganmo” is the smaller Kyoto-Style variety of Gonmadoki. This item contains black sesame seeds and finely chopped carrots. It is a often cooked in nimono (simmered dishes), such as oden.
