Harvested during the peak of its season, this ginnan, or ginkgo nuts has been de-shelled, parboiled and flash frozen to preserve freshness year around. Simply roast on a skillet with some salt or add into chawanmushi or Japanese mixed rice for a delicious seasonal dish.
